Prawie lato i nagle znowu zima - Almost summer and then winter again

Jedna z najlepszych chwil w roku jest wtedy gdy kwitną drzewa owocowe a brzozy wypuszczają pierwsze liście. Wtedy jest pięknie. A w tym roku bylo jeszcze cieplo, prawie jak w lecie. Już w kwietniu można bylo usiąść w ogrodzie i napawać się zielenią.


One of the best times of the year is when the fruit trees are blooming and the birches get leaves. It is beautiful! And this year it was also very warm and nice, like pre-summer. One could enjoy sitting in the garden already in April.


Kolorowe kwiaty zaczynają kwitnąć. Colourful flowers start blossoming.

























Nagle trzeciego maja wrócila zima, spadl śnieg i to dużo śniegu. Drzewa i krzewy zostaly przygniecione przez mokry śnieg a co gorsza w nocy przyszedl silny mróz. Galęzie, krzewy i drzewka owocowe pochylily się do ziemi i nawet Ikabod nie wiedzial co się dzieje.

Suddenly 3rd May the winter came back, snow everywhere and lots of it! The already green trees and bushes became heavy of the wet snow and even worse, during the night there was heavy frost. Branches, flowers and fruit-trees mourned, even Ikabod was sad in the snow.



Kilka dni później lato wrócilo i znowu można bylo siedzieć w ogrodzie i zajadać placek z rabarbarem oraz podziwiać zachód slońca z kieliszkiem wina pod ręką.

A couple of days later summer was back and it was again possible to sit outside with newly baked rhubarb pie and a glass of wine to watch the sunset.
